As a lover of Vintage vehicles and a member of the South Cape Old Car Club for more than a decade, one of the highlights of my life was the restoration of a Chevrolet El Camino  Indeed a project of trials and tribulations that resulted in satisfaction upon completion.  Shortly thereafter I saw the photo used as a template for this work, a compelling picture of an iconic vehicle.  I took care to represent the era in my interpretation, specifically ensuring that the Volkswagen Beetle came to its full right.  The innocence and freedom of a bygone era, when life was so less complicated is forever captured in the little girl’s smile.
