Having moved to L’Agulhas I had my first opportunity to live close to a harbour, explore the boundaries beyond this portal .  “Struisbaai Harbour” is a sculpture that portrays the exhilaration of angling way out there, an activity that draws many people to this bustling harbour – either to venture out or for the joy of buying fresh caught fish when the boats return to the safety of the harbour at the end of the day.  The popularity of the harbour is escalated by Parrie, the local stingray that can be fed by hand, and his adherent group.
