It gave me great joy and satisfaction producing this relief sculpture of swans on a pond, representative of my “roots”, the origin of my surname.  Translated to English the title says:  Swanepoel, because I am.  The levels of depth are accentuated with colour and distinction of background, adding dimension and lending an old worldly atmosphere.  Although being of a more personal nature this sculpture, as a landscape scene, broadens the spectrum of work I undertake.
